A graduate of Cambridge, Richard was born and educated in Nottinghamshire where he currently lives. He has always had a wide range of interests including walking and music spending many holidays in the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District and abroad in the Alps from France to Slovenia.
While studying law at Queens’, one of the oldest colleges in the University, he had access to an incredible range of artistic experiences which has provided the springboard for developing his interests underpinning this venture.
During a successful career as a senior partner in a major Midlands law firm, Richard has maintained and developed the range and depth of his outside interests. He is an accredited walks leader for the largest provider of walking holidays in the UK and is Chairman of the Nottinghamshire Historic Churches Trust. The range of world class theatre and music on offer in the Midlands has continued to nurture and feed Richard’s love of the arts.
“Like music and art, love of nature is a common language…” (Jimmy Carter)
