Covid 19 is affecting us all and in common with the majority of companies in our sector, we have been particularly hit by the inability to venture into the great outdoors.
However, without cost to our customers, we have cancelled all our existing bookings and we are observing government guidelines particularly as to staying away from tourist areas and avoiding unnecessary travel.
We look forward to welcoming you when this situation improves when together, we can once more experience some of the best of what our country has to offer.
Welcome to Brackenbury's Britain
a range of personal and personalised experiences of the best that Britain has to offer
We work with individuals, small groups and corporates to offer day walks, tours and holidays in the Midlands and the North of England..
The wide range of walking tours available ensures there is something for everyone. Whether you prefer longer more challenging walks or shorter, easier walks, we have something suitable for you.
Using its unrivalled knowledge for the regions in which it operates, Brackenbury’s Britain can provide a very different offer to the corporate sector for its clients and team building events and groups wanting a particular focus.
Our tours are tailored to meet the needs of three core groups of people.
First, walkers who want a little more luxury in their accommodation on their walkingbreaks and who, at the same time want the opportunity of making more in depth visits to some of the places of interest that they might pass on their walks.
Such walkers have the opportunity of selecting from a range of walking options both self-guided and accompanied from our growing list of itineraries. They benefit from the fact that we have personally walked the routes we offer.
Second, Brackenbury’s Britain provides short cultural breaks covering a range of interests including tours to historic houses, churches and cathedrals as well as engagement in art and classical music.
Where possible, we combine more than one of these categories in each holiday. These holidays focus on interesting and stimulating subject matters whilst at the same time recognising our clients’ requirements for a high quality experience.
Finally, we can provide corporate and bespoke tours and events to specialist groups including corporates, academics or to groups of friends and relatives.
We do our utmost to create a comfortable environment for all our guests whatever their circumstances and we welcome individuals holidaying alone.
Whilst we do not provide “singles” holidays as such, the nature of our experiences lends itself to people who enjoy the company of others. Where we are charged a single room supplement by our suppliers (sometimes we are not), we will only pass that on at cost.
All our accommodation has been personally inspected by us and in many cases has been experienced as a paying customer. It will usually be owner managed and even where part of a chain, warmth of welcome and quality of experience will always be absolute priorities in our choices.
We have met all our leaders personally (whether for our walking or cultural trips) and know they each have the skills and personality to make a holiday experience with us an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
